Thanks for visiting my profile.  My name is Rick and I am the president of Owl Home Inspections, Inc.

I'm basically a regular guy who happens to really know about houses.  I take what I do very seriously, but I don't take myself so seriously.  I try to communicate by using real world examples and not get too caught up with "inspector-speak".  I use computer genterated reports with plenty of pictures to document the condition of your home.  You can call me anytime with questions about your home - I'm here to help.

I aim to educate my clients so that they can have the "mechanical piece" of the house buying puzzle in hand as they proceed through the process.  I offer inspection CHOICES so that nearly everyone can find an inspection to meet their individual needs and budget.

I am a member in good standing of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors - also known as InterNACHI.  InterNACHI is the worlds largest inspection organization (7000+ members).  InterNACHI provides outstanding educational opportunities as well as the home inspection industry's most active message board.  This comes in handy when I don't have the answer for something. I'll be the first to tell you, I don't know everything, but, I can post a question or picture at the InterNACHI forums and have responses from some of the worlds best inspectors in a matter of minutes (an hour or two, tops!).

Not that it has anything to do with my business (this is the other stuff section, right?), but I also really enjoy coaching my 7 year old son's baseball, basketball and other sports teams.  He got me involved 3 years ago ("Daddy, puhleeeeese be my coach") and we've both had a blast evey season and team.  If you want to talk youth sports, let me know.  I love to trade tips, tricks and drills with other coaches.
